Tracey presented an update to Rossland City Council on March 25th at 7 pm at Rossland City Hall. According to David Ferraro, Rossland has achieved a 75% reduction in plastic bag use in the last year! Over 95% of Rossland retailers are working with us to eliminate plastic bags. Greener Footprints requested the City of Rossland to ban plastic bags, however BC municipalities currently don’t have the authority to do so. Instead, Rossland submitted a resolution to the Association of Kootenay Boundary Local Governments.
